SCDHHS Implements Preferred Drug List
As of July 1, 2024, South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) offers a single Preferred Drug List for all providers within the Healthy Connections program. The purpose of the SCDHHS single PDL is to adopt use of the most cost-effective medication available. Members will still be able to access their current prescriptions for up to six months after the change is in effect or through December 31, 2024, even if their medication is not listed on the SCDHHS single PDL.
