Extra Benefits for Our Youngest Members

As our children make their way back into the classroom this fall, Healthy Blue members can get prepared ahead of time. Together with regular Healthy Connections Medicaid benefits and lots of extra benefits available only to Healthy Blue members, our young members can stay both healthy and get ready to do well in school.

Parents and caregivers can get regular benefits for their children, such as: 

• Well-baby and well-child visits through age 21. This includes:
  • Yearly wellness check-ups.
  • Vaccines.
  • Tests and screenings based on your child’s needs and age.
• Routine dental care, oral exams and cleanings.
• Eye exams every 12 months. One pair of eyeglasses (frames and lenses) with fitting every 24 months.
• Hearing services. This includes:
  • Exams and screenings.
  • Preventive and corrective services.
  • Hearing aid supplies for children through age 21.
• Speech and occupational therapy services.

Healthy Blue offers extra benefits just for our young members such as:

• A free sports physical for students ages 6 to 18.
• A no-cost headset for learning at school or at home.
• A tutoring support gift card for students ages 5 to 14.
• A discount on Boys & Girls Club fees.
• A free annual membership and discounts on program materials for Scouts BSA and Girl Scouts.
